Overview

Flagship Pioneering and the Flagship Fellowship: Opportunities in Institutionalized Venture Creation

Flagship Pioneering is a biotechnology company that invents and builds world-changing bioplatform companies, including Moderna, Generate Biomedicines, and Indigo Agriculture. We bring great scientific minds together with entrepreneurial company builders and assemble the capital to allow them to take courageous leaps into the scientific unknown. This session will discuss Flagship’s unique process of company creation and highlight career opportunities at Flagship and within our ecosystem of companies. A special focus will be on the Flagship Pioneering Fellowship, a full-time summer Fellowship (June-August) that provides an unparalleled opportunity for creative, entrepreneurial scientists to immerse themselves in Flagship’s unique approach to inventing and building disruptive life science startups.

Speaker

Bradley Coleman, PhD - Senior Director Flagship Fellowship & Talent Development

Brad works across Flagship Pioneering to ensure that the Fellowship is a transformative learning experience for each Fellow. This builds on Brad’s career studying how the science of learning can inform effective, meaningful transfer of expertise and the generation of new knowledge. Brad earned his PhD in biomedical sciences and public health from Harvard where he served for many years as a Lecturer and the Director of the Harvard Medical School Curriculum Fellows Program.
